Top 10 FireFox Browser Add-Ons and Plugins

These are some great add-ons for the Mozilla Firefox Browser. There are hundreds available, but in our opinion, these are the Top Ten we use everyday.  Firefox is quickly becoming the superior browser for the web.  Having these great add-ons and plugins makes Firefox more than just a great web browser, it’s now a powerful kit of web tools.

1. Zemanta: Zemanta will help you create and enhance your emails and blog posts with images, videos, links or tags that are relevant to your content.  You can get great recommendations as you write and create your posts.

2. Feedly:  It’s like having a magazine or newsletter at your fingertips. Feedly is a simple and efficient way to read and share content from your favorite websites and services you find on the Internet.

3. Sketcher: Sketcher allows you to draw graphic comments over captured web pages. You can also create link ’sketches’ to other ’sketches’, websites or  other file types. You can organize your sketches by topic and add comments as well.

4. ScribeFire: ScribeFire is a full-featured blog editor.  It lets you create and integrate custom text, fonts, colors and more with your browser.  Create customized articles that can be copy and pasted and easily published to your blog.

5. Picnik: Picnik is a free online photo editing site.  This add-on gives you a menu of options and a toolbar icon that makes importing images into Picnik easier for customization.

6. Cooliris 3D Wall: Coolris is one of the the fastest and easiest ways to browse photos and videos from the Web or your desktop. It’s like the Matrix Movie allowing you to scroll a “Wall of Images” to select from.

7. YouTube Downloader: With YouTube Downloader, you can Download YouTube Videos in FLV, 3GP, High-Quality MP4, and HD (high-definition) MP4.  It is also iPhone compatible.

8. YouTube Toolbar: For all the YouTube frequent visitors, the YouTube Toolbar lets you search, browse, share, and download your favorite videos from YouTube.  This add-on makes it easy to utilize all the YouTube content.

9. FireShot: With Fireshot, you can creates screenshots of web pages. This add-on / plugin provides some editing and annotation tools which will let users quickly customize web captured screens and insert text and graphical annotations. This is a favorite for those who create tutorials and how-to’s.

10. Diigo: A Social Bookmarking and sharing add-on. Save your favorite sites and finds in one location with a single click, and then share with others.

  4. Ovblogger – it won’t add tags for you, only gives options based on content. Easy as a click though. I use Zemanta for snippets, images, and related topics. Let’s you reblog and post quick and easy.
